How to setup
In this guide, we'll show you how to connect Webflow with Macaw allowing you to publish your articles to your blog in one click.
1) Generate a Webflow API key
Note: If you already have a Webflow API key you can skip this step.
Navigate to your Apps & Integration settings within your Webflow site settings and click Generate API token
Give your API token a name and select
CMS: Read and write
Sites: Read-only
Click Generate Token and copy your API token for the next step
2) Connect to Webflow
Head to your Publishing connections setup in Macaw and click Connect
Paste your Webflow API key from the previous step and click Confirm
Select your Site and Articles collection from the drop-downs

3) Map your fields to Webflow
Go through your Webflow CMS fields mapping the correct field from Macaw
Note: Certain common inputs such as Author are not provided by Macaw and require manual entry with a fixed value.

To manually set reference fields such as Author, you must find the Item ID of the Author you would like your to set within the Webflow CMS
Then simply just switch your Author field to Manual entry
And paste the selected Item ID in the input
Finally, click Connect at the top of the page
Your Webflow connection is all set up! π
