How to setup
In this guide, we'll show you how to connect Wix with Macaw allowing you to publish your articles to your blog in one click.
1) Generate a Wix API key
Refer to the Wix documentation for information on how to generate an API key. You will also need to take note of the site ID, which is explained in the same article.
When generating the API key you will need to grant the following permissions:
Wix Contacts & Members
Wix Blog
Business Info
Manage Site Media
Make sure to copy the API key to someplace safe, as you will not be able to view it again and will need to restart this step if you have lost it.
Once the key has been created, your key should look like this:
2) Connect to Wix
Head to your Publishing connections setup in Macaw and click Connect.
Enter your API key and site ID from the previous step.
Done! You are now ready to start publishing articles to your Wix site 🎉
Additionally, you can also set whether articles should be published to Wix as a draft or to publish them straight away. By default we set this to "Draft".
